Christmas budget tips ๐Ÿ’ต๐ŸŽ„

How is Christmas shopping going? ๐Ÿ›

โ€‹

Are you the kind of person who:

A) Finished shopping three months ago, stayed under budget, & just need to wrap everything,

B) Almost done shopping and doing pretty well with the budget, or

C) Have barely started shopping, feeling stressed, and ready to throw the idea of a Christmas budget out the window?

โ€‹

If you answered C, it's not too late to get organized and create a Christmas budget you can stick to.

Christmas Budget Tips

  1. Set the budget. Decide what you can spend. If it's lower than you hoped, there is still time to build up some more savings. Pause all unnecessary spending and financial goals. Sell things around the house you don't need or make some baked goods or a crafty thing! Even work a small side gig for a month. If you need to buy fewer gifts this year or say no to a gift exchange, do it and don't feel bad about sticking to your budget.
  2. Give the gift of helping! Many adults would be thrilled with a gift like free babysitting (if they have kids), raking the leaves, or some other chore they need done! What skills do you have that you could use to help others this Christmas season? Stock a pregnant mom's freezer with a few freezer meals. Fill in the gap for someone.
  3. Make a list of who you need to shop for and what you want to spend on each person. I always preach this, but be specific with your budget! Don't just say, I want to spend $500. Who are you buying for and how much will you spend on each person?

Put these tips into practice and commit to having a peace & joy-filled Christmas season. Generosity and gratitude are what truly make Christmas feel magical.

Sincerely,

Avery

Long time, no see! I am so glad to be back writing emails. It feels so much more personal than a social media post. Life lately has been hectic. I feel like everyone says that, so I don't say that lightly. I won't get into everything that has been going on in my life, but the main thing is the breastfeeding baby fog. My youngest is going on eight months and still exclusively breastfeeds and wakes up multiple times in the night, so my mind is not very sharp right now to say the least! This has...
